Darcy (Jennifer Lopez) and Tom (Josh Duhamel) bring their families to the Philippines to celebrate their wedding. Unfortunately the wedding is hijacked by pirates with Darcy’s father Robert (Cheech Marin) being asked to hand over millions in exchange for no one being harmed. 

The idea of Shotgun Wedding is intriguing. A bickering couple reassuring each other of their connection as they dispatch pirates on a tropical island. The execution on the other hand is appalling. It never succeeds in being funny, exciting or romantic. 

It also features Lenny Kravitz proving that he should stick to music rather than acting and completely wastes Jennifer Coolidge. 

I would suggest ignoring this film exists entirely and check out The Lost City to get a very similar vibe with much more success.
